Dry Skin Care

I’ve had psoriasis all my life. Psoriasis is essentially a skin condition where you develop red scaly patches, not unlike eczema. At age 11, I developed a little patch on my face. It made me feel so self-conscious, especially when people in my class would ask me what it was. However, having psoriasis from such a young age has enabled me to become a wiz at all things skin care and make up. I can pretty much cover up any blemish if you give me 20 minutes and over the years I’ve developed a skin care routine that can combat even the driest skins. Today my psoriasis rarely crops up on my face and I believe it’s due to my skin care routine. Here are my top 4 skin care products of the moment…

First Aid Beauty Facial Wash

This face wash is one of the only foaming face wash that doesn’t dry my skin out. I love how clean my face feels after I use it. Even if I have a full face of make-up it all comes off with this product.

Estee Lauders Advanced Night Repair Serum

This item is on the pricier end of the scale but it is worth every penny. I put on two to three drops just before bed and when I wake up any spots or dry patches are gone!

Superdrug Vitamin E Leave On Mask

I have no idea how this mask is not spoken about more in the beauty community. It’s a lightweight gel that sinks into your skin leaving it silky soft. The only con is its synthetic coconut smell, which is admittedly a bit over powering. I use it pretty much every single night and for less than 3 quid you really can’t go wrong!

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream

This cream is fantastic. It’s super hydrating and perfect for sensitive skin. It comes in a massive tub, which lasts ages. For anyone whose ever suffered from psoriasis this is a must have.
