Being productive is no easy task. That’s why I’ve written this post today, talking about my top three tips for staying organised and being productive.
Lay your clothes out the night before
This incredibly simple step can help you be so much more productive. By laying out your gym clothes the night before you’ll be sure to hit the gym that morning. Alternatively, by laying out a work outfit, you’re more likely to have time the next morning to fit in a healthy breakfast and check your emails.
Plan your day
Planning is so important. By planning your day out you won’t forget about the small tasks. For example, many of us forget to keep on top of our laundry. But by simply scheduling an hour a week to tick off this chore, you will be much more likely to stay organised and stop that smelly pile from building up. This trick also helps you stay productive. For instance, if you have written down in front of you that from 2pm – 3pm you are meant to writing a blog post, you’ll be far more likely to get writing as opposed to aimlessly watching Gossip Girl (for the 5th time in a row!)
By writing down your goals and making them achievable you’ll have something to work towards. This in turn will make you more productive and organised, as you’ll be able to understand how your small daily actions can contribute to you meeting your goals. Some of us might splash out on one too many spur of the moment make-up purchases – I have definitely been guilty of this in the past. However, if you’ve written down a goal to save up for your first car, you’ll have that goal in the back of your mind and it will help you put the make-up back on the shelf. This in turn will allow you get back to being organised with your budgeting.
